Thanks Dana,

I am aware that the TurboFyner and VM2 are sold as a secondary preventative measure only against hidden water, but when I asked Ramco about how their top mounted element (for TurboFyner) works, they told me that fuel is pushed up into the element, which "beads and "sheds" the water on contact". The remaining water is then supposed to fall down to the base. Are you saying this is ineffective?

My main concern is that my Mercedes spin on filter was bypassed, meaning I rely on my top mounted Donaldson filter (synteq media) on A VegMax2 unit to remove any excess water and contaminants in my diesel or veg oil fuel. I am letting my veg oil settle and then filtering before fueling of course.

Against anything but easily (relativly large) visible drops of water..completely ineffective.
And though the "water beading" technology is effective with easily (relativly large) visible drops of water in diesel fuel I have seen no evidence it is at all effective with VO fuel.

Though it could be tested fairly easily I have never had anyone who sells these elements (and makes these possibly very misleading claims) take me up on the offer to set up a definitive test of those claims.

Hi Dana
Been researching different forums on dewatering a processing system till my eyes bleed. I am currently using the cold upflow system, but am concerned about having too much water. I want to get more info on your system, but can't seem to get it any way I've tried. Can you help me out here.
Thanx

For some reason this forum and Paypal do not play well together.
Everytime I fix the links for the filter units they go bad within a week or two.

Just email me directly using the link on the bottom of my posts if you need the filtering/dewatering unit files.
